Chairperson
As Chairperson of the Board of Governors, and as someone born and raised in the
Kingdom of Lesotho, it is both a personal honour and a professional responsibility to serve Machabeng College — an institution that has shaped generations of young people and continues to play a vital role in our country’s educational landscape.
Machabeng College was founded on a powerful belief: that learners in Lesotho deserve access to education that meets the highest international standards while remaining firmly rooted in local values, identity and community. Nearly five decades later, that belief remains at the heart of our work as a governing body. The Board is committed to ensuring strong governance, ethical leadership, financial sustainability and strategic clarity, so that the College can continue to thrive in a changing global context.
As Governors, we work in close partnership with the School Leadership Team to safeguard the College’s mission, support academic excellence and uphold the wellbeing of every student entrusted to our care. We are guided by the Machabeng Constitution, national legislation and international best practice, with a shared focus on accountability, transparency and long-term impact. Our role is not only to oversee, but to enable — creating the conditions in which educators can teach with confidence and students can
learn, grow and lead with purpose.
Machabeng’s strength lies in its unique position: a truly international school set within
the cultural richness of Lesotho.
This balance between global outlook and local grounding prepares our students to succeed anywhere in the world while remaining connected to who they are and where they come from. It is this dual identity that makes Machabeng both distinctive and enduring.

Our Location
Machabeng College is proudly situated in the heart of the Kingdom of Lesotho, in the capital city of Maseru. Our campus rests on a serene hilltop beside the Royal Palace, blending prestige with tranquillity. Spanning four hectares, the school provides a secure, inspiring environment for learning and growth.
